In January 2006, the Turkish Cultural Foundation inaugurated the first educational site dedicated to Turkish music. Featuring information on the history, genres, instruments, performers etc. of  Turkish music through the ages, Turkish Music Portal was created by the Foundation in cooperation with a team of Turkish music experts.
